Fractured Mind ‘consume’ listeners with new hard rock hit

Hard rock outfit Fractured Mind have unleashed their latest single Consumed –  a blend of heavy instrumentals, atmospheric soundscapes and powerful, catchy vocals that will have you just that. Consumed.

The song’s opening guitar lines, delivered by Edward Rooke, sets the brooding tone with hints of Trivium’s technical prowess manifesting in the intricacy of the strings. Meanwhile Conor Henson’s rhythmic drumming and Jack Hood’s strings anchor the track, pushing the song forward with unrelenting momentum.

There’s a real sense of foreboding – one not rooted in fear, but curiosity, which beckons the listener to sink into the sonic world they’ve created with this track. Consumed introduces listeners to an arresting experience as Rob Hood’s vocals effortlessly shift from slow and eerie to gritty and anthemic hooks. Audioslave’s melodic sensibility can be felt throughout the chorus as Rob delivers a blend of power and emotion against a backdrop of hard-hitting instrumentals.

Recorded by Tom Carter at Riff Factory, listening to Consumed through headphones adds to the dynamic nature of the track as the placement of each element creates an atmospheric allure akin to French rockers Gojira, particularly in the bridge before the final chorus.

Released on August 4, Consumed is a culmination of the band’s hard work and determination to grow, marking their first professionally recorded endeavour as they aim for a more polished sound.

Drawing listeners in with its heavy elements while also captivating them with its atmospheric touches, Fractured Mind has masterfully balanced raw intensity with haunting ambiance in this evocative rock release.
