Precision meets passion as Moralslip release dual single Flinch & Picture Perfect

Moralslip are not the kind of band to press your Ring doorbell and patiently await to be let in – they’re kicking the door down and storming the castle of Stoke-on-Trent’s heavy scene with a no-holds-barred approach. Their latest dual-single release being a shining example of their knack for gut-punching riffs and titanic breakdowns.

Flinch stomps in with a thunderous introduction of pounding drums and aggressive guitar riffs, invoking the spirit of early Slipknot before frontman Jordan Jennings lets rip with  guttural screams that showcase the full force of his impressive vocal talent. The interplay between the heavy instrumentals and the intricate vocal delivery creates a tension that keeps the listener on the edge of their nerves, and I can only imagine the carnage created when this track gets played live in The Underground.

As Flinch comes to a close, the transition into Picture Perfect is seamless. The second track maintains the intensity and energy set by its predecessor but introduces a more melodic and emotionally charged side of Moralslip’s sound.

One of the standout features of both tracks is the quartet’s impeccable musicianship, their tight instrumentation and impeccable timing create a sonic assault that is both precise and chaotic when needed. The drumming, in particular, deserves special mention for its technical prowess, while the production quality is meticulous and measured.

If you’re looking for ground-shaking modern hardcore with a chunky sound and passionate lyrics, this dual-track release from Moralslip leaves no room for disappointment. Released this September 8, listen to the band’s brand new tracks here:
