Yoodoo Voodooo say F.U.C.K.I.T as they make rebellious alt-funk return

After a few months in the studio and a refreshed line-up, Yoodoo Voodoo have burst back onto the scene with their latest single F.U.C.K.I.T. And let’s just say, they’re not holding back.

Mark ‘Bocko’ Bossons and David McKechnie have been playing together in bands for years, and while Yoodoo Voodoo may be smaller in numbers, it’s by no means smaller in sound, with the duo bringing their own brand of alternative funk to F.U.C.K.I.T.

In true Yoodoo Voodoo fashion, F.U.C.K.I.T. is a much-needed reminder to take life a little less seriously, with the band adding: “Bad bosses, minor problems that are blown up when it’s not actually that important. It’s so liberating if you have the balls to say f.u.c.k.i.t. It’s healthy.”

Upbeat and rebellious, the new-era record serves as a call to embrace the punk ethos, set against a backdrop of infectious 80s post punk grooves and Yoodoo Voodoo’s trademark funky flair, showcasing their ability to seamlessly fuse genres while maintaining their distinctive sound.

Echoing bands like Squeeze and The Jam, F.U.C.K.I.T is just the beginning for Yoodoo Voodoo, with Bossons and McKechnie proving that their songwriting prowess remains as sharp as ever. The lads will be releasing a new single monthly with a DIY approach to their music, by which I mean, they’ll release the tracks, and ‘then if you’re into it you can compile your own album’.

In this new chapter for Yoodoo Voodoo, it appears that Bocko and Dave will be staying true to their roots and channelling F.U.C.K.I.T energy while embodying the motto “keep the tunes funky and the attitude punky”.

With their infectious energy and unwavering attitude, Yoodoo Voodoo has delivered a comeback that proves sometimes, all you need to do is say F.U.C.K.I.T. and keep grooving.

Released March 26, listen to F.U.C.K.I.T. here on Spotify:
